- UN Millennium Development Goals & Targets
The UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight goals which nations of the world have contractually pledge to cooperatively achieve by 2015 that respond to the world's main development and humanitarian challenges.
The MDGs are a main focus of this website channels ongoing yearly streams, and in particular the annual United Nations International Day of Peace Global Broadcast Event showcasing solutions for the UN MDGs.
The MDGs are drawn from the actions and targets contained in the Millennium Declaration that was adopted by 189 nations-and signed by 147 heads of state and governments during the UN Millennium Summit in September 2000.
